What is a Money Blueprint and How do we Change it?
In this article, we will discuss money management tips and how to change your money blueprint, to gain more wealth. To start, I would ask you, what is your money blueprint? If that term is new to you, read on.
Each of us are a product of our environment, particularly when it comes to money management. Many of us have an unhealthy or dysfunctional relationship with money, not due to our fault, but it was passed down to us by our family and those we surround ourselves with, particularly when we are young. Much of our life is lived based on how we were raised.
Robert Kiyosaki explained it best, in his book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He noticed that you could make all the right moves in a poor family and not make it. Then, you could make stupid mistakes in a rich family and make it… This is why the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor, but why? He explains that poverty is passed on to the next generation. Not intentionally, but subconsciously.
He goes on to explain the concept of wealth. Wealth is simply the amount of time you can go without working to maintain your desired lifestyle. Wealth is relative to each person. One person may live frugally and be wealthy at the national poverty level. Another person may want to travel with their time and they will need more wealth to do that. Again, concepts of wealth, as with poverty are passed down from generation to generation.
Scientist know this concept as Theta, which means hypnosis or programming. Our mind watches our environment, starting with our parents when we are a child (first seven years), and programs our subconscious to fit into that environment. After that period, it is repetition that forms our programming toward money. This is called a money blueprint.
Changing your Money Blueprint
Financially speaking, you have exactly the wealth that your money blueprint says you should have. That may alarm you, but if you are honest with yourself, you would agree it is true. The great news is that you can change your money blueprint and therefore change your financial state.
To change your subconscious mind, it takes one of two methods, hypnosis, or repetition. I am not a fan of hypnosis, so for me it was the path of repetition. You see, if your subconscious keeps saying you are unhappy, and you affirm it, you will remain unhappy. On the other hand, if you keep doing things that affirm that you are happy, that repetition will start train your subconscious that you are happy. One of the things we need to start with, is a repetitive reflection of our programming, through education.
School System is Flawed
First you have to recognize that our school system was not designed to make us wealthy. Instead, it was designed to create employees, not employers. Again, that is part of our money blueprint, instilled subconsciously on the first day of school.
The first time you accept a paycheck, your brain cuts off and you are conditioned to be an employee. Later, you become reliant on that paycheck and you begin to say, “I can’t afford it,” or “do you think we are made of money”.
On the other hand, if you start a business, it changes your mindset and you begin to depend on yourself. Then you start to think, “what will it take to do that” or “how can I afford it”. The nature of the statement or question you ask yourself opens the door to your actions and it becomes flesh.
The rich people are being vilified in todays culture, but the truth is they are productive, they are producing products, jobs, opportunities for others. Today, this notion is resented, because of the money blueprint that one has in their mind. Instead of asking, “why can’t I do that,” we blame them. This has to change if you want to cross over to the wealthy mind frame.
Robert Kiyosaki teaches another principle: If you keep doing what you have been doing, you will keep getting what you have been getting. On the other hand, if you change what you have been doing, you will change what you are getting. So, dig in, start something new, a business. Put yourself out there and be vulnerable. Get outside of your comfort zone. It will take this action, repeatedly, to break out of the pre-programming of your youth.
I have applied the principles described in this article and it has changed my life. No longer am I trapped in a job, I have financial freedom and wealth. I would love to share more of this information with you and help you achieve that level of freedom.
